The MCP server comes with the Storesynk AI app on any plan. Once connected, your AI tool sees three groups of Storesynk tools. You never call these yourself.
Build guidance and documentation
Section titled “Build guidance and documentation”Available to every connection, no store data required:
| Tool | What the agent gets |
|---|---|
| Build a Shopify store | The one-call briefing that starts a build session |
| Get build context | The same briefing: store status, modules, next steps |
| Get integration guide | The right package and setup for its stack (plain HTML, Astro, Next.js, React SSR, and others) |
| Check Storefront credentials | A live smoke test of a domain + public token pair |
| Validate a page | The Storesynk validator over any generated markup |
| List / read / search docs | The same reference this site publishes: tags, rules, blueprints, known issues |
| List optional modules | Which lazy modules (collection, bundle, pixels, customer, and so on) a page pulls in |
Reading your store
Section titled “Reading your store”Scoped to the shop you authorized during connect:
| Tool | What the agent sees |
|---|---|
| Get store context | Shop basics, connected integrations, plan status |
| List products / collections | Real handles, titles, and variants to build against |
| List bundles / mix and match / volume discounts / customer pricing | Offers configured in the Storesynk AI app |
| List customer groups / page gates | Groups and gating rules configured in the app |
Writing to your store
Section titled “Writing to your store”The agent can author the app’s merchandising features for you:
- create customer groups and customer pricing rules
- create fixed bundles (including the parent product) and volume discounts
- create page gates for members-only or wholesale areas
- activate or deactivate an offer
Two safety rules apply to every write:
- Everything is created inactive. You review the draft in the Storesynk AI app and switch it on there (or ask the agent to).
- The agent asks first. The server instructs AI clients to get your explicit go-ahead before creating or activating anything.
These are Pro features, so on the Free plan the agent gets an upgrade prompt instead and nothing is written. The MCP connection itself is not gated.
What the agent cannot do
Section titled “What the agent cannot do”- It never sees your Shopify Admin credentials; every store operation goes through the Storesynk AI app’s own scoped connection.
- It cannot touch orders, customers’ personal data, themes, or anything outside the Storesynk feature surface.
- It cannot publish or activate offers without the review step above.
